Unless I'm mistaken...I don't see any teams with less 20 losses...no 51-8 records.... I think we're right there with the 1 and 2 seed. I'm liking our chances....ALOT !
Go Tigers

Ic the team is on the steady improvement track as Jack says, then it's fair to expect that change. Pitching is better. Hitting is better. Fix defense. Hopefully making it to OC gives them the mental edge for that.

Its a "nothing to lose " team with the tradition and talent of Clemson that can make noise . Long trip , lots of distractions . Good luck Tigers !

some people are in absolute denial of Clemson's season record

so let's take a look at ASU's record: of the losses that were NOT to NCAA tourney teams,
they took 2 of 3 from Long Beach State,
took 2 of 3 from Utah,
took 2 of 3 from Arizona,
took 2 of 3 from Tennessee Tech, and
took 2 of 3 from Washington State.
They also lost to UNLV by a run in game they had to resume after leading 5-2 the previous night.
All their other losses were to NCAA-bound teams with series losses to UCLA, TCU, California and Southern Cal. They won series from NCAA-bound Oregon and Okie State, and split a series with NCAA-bound Bakersfield.
Where on God's green Earth do you see losses to the likes of West Virginia, Wake Forest, Wofford, and Winthrop on there?
People need to get a grip...

Just looked at the stats for all 3 teams in the regional with us and Pepperdine has the best stats. Fullerton has a decent pitching staff but no real bombers on offense. Few good average guys though. Arizona State's rotations lowest era is like 3.50 and their strikeout to innings pitched ratio is almost non existent so they pitch to contact. However as a team Arizona State doesn't make any errors. Have 2 guys with 8 and one with 7 that's about it. Pepperdine has a guy with 13 HR and a guy with 10 and some with 7 and 8 so they have some bombers. If we get by Arizona State in the first game I really like our chances. I think we actually came out of this situation pretty dang good. Better than going to Vandy, LSU, or Florida. Not that we couldn't beat them but because it would've been a lot tougher with our bullpens compared to theirs. They gave us a chance now we got to go take care of business.

2009 ASU went 2 and 0(7-4 and 8-2) in a Super Regional out in Tempe,Arizona against the Tigers but like deroberts stated earlier the Tigers the very next season 2010 made up for it on the big stage winning in Omaha against the Sun Devils
