A few thoughts/observations

1. The biggest atrocity last night was not our secondary but the fact that it took so long for our team to get down the hill. If I was the referee I would have thrown a flag for delay of game.
2. Our defensive line drops way off with that second group. When they went in the Scar started running it down our throat. When they got down at the goaline we put the starters back in and stopped them.
3. Considering the above, I expect our defense to take a step back next year for the first time under Venables.
4. The SEC proved it was not overrated yesterday with blowout wins in 3 of the 4 games vs. the ACC and Scar putting up more points than we’ve given up all season.

1.) Okay
2.) Pretty sure we played for passing all game since when they ran it early they got nothing. Towards the end of the game, I don't think it was 'running it down our throats'. They threw 50 times and had 90 yards rushing.
3.) That's what we heard after to shelled OU the first time. Went to the Natty afterwards, so I'll worry about production when I see those guys after another year
4.) I don't think anyone has said ACC was very good this year. UL and FSU might be two of the three worst teams in the conference this year. UGA beat GT at almost the exact same score we did, and they are ranked near us, so that's not surprising. So yes, the three ranked SEC east teams beat two terrible and one average ACC teams.
So overall......okay

2. It was about midway through the 3rd quarter I believe when we first went with our second team. They ran it well down inside the 10 and then our starters came back in and they turned it over on downs.
Scar had a great game plan on offense.
