A change for college football: Army/Navy game

That I feel like would be good for the sport is moving the Army/Navy game to a standalone week 0 game rather than a standalone game at the end.
They are now in the same conference, and could end up in back to back games as it currently stands if they both make the AAC title game.
By moving it to the start of the year, you still get singular fanfare for kicking off college football, plus the entire post-season gets moved up one week.
This helps avoid overlap with the NFL and also lets the spring portal window have less overlap.

I don't know...I've always loved watching those cold Army/Navy games. Especially when it's snowing.

For them to move it to the first game of the season would be the ultimate college football sellout. Even though it is primarily for officers that attend the academies, us enlisted guys never really cared, it the last of the competitions where actual scholar athletes compete.

Sometimes we enlisted folks DID care. When you were stuck on a BGB with 5000 other squids it was 'party time' with no party favors.

You are correct about the double play as it almost happened last year, however.....can't take a chance on missing the occasional blizzard game. We (Navy) stomped them for so long (16 years straight) it was hard to accept not winning, butt I finally did.

It's the only actual "college" football game left. I say leave it alone.***

It would make a lot of sense but watching Army vs Navy play when it’s 85 degrees out would feel gross. I want it to be like 31 degrees with snow flurries any time they play.
