…and I finally have power and internet back.

Missed the entirety of college football this weekend, but that was the least of my concerns. Will watch our game, which is the first I’ve missed since Syracuse in 2017, after the radio show tonight. My neighborhood was one of the few that was spared, for the most part, from any significant damage. Only had some minor roof and tree damage at my place. But the rest of the city wasn’t as fortunate.

While things are catastrophically devastating in my area, I know things are worse in others, which is scary to think. Thoughts and prayers are with everyone in the Blue Ridge and Smokies. A HUGE Thank You to all of the linemen who worked their tails off to restore power. And a special Thank You to the linemen crews who came from Kentucky, Alabama, Ohio and Iowa. Y’all are heroes to this small SC town. God bless em’.

a couple of hours ago, praise the Lord! Had been off since Friday morning. Feel really bad for those that had significant damage, especially western North Carolina. Seen some of the footage and it looks heartbreaking. We have to keep them in our prayers and look for opportunities to help.

I live near Burnsville, NC and it is apocalyptic. We spoke to a power worker today and he said the latest best case estimate if for power restoration October 20.

We were extremely lucky. There are 5 homes in my holler and none had any damage. I drove an 8 mi stretch along the Toe River and did not see a single habitable house. There were probably 20 that are simply gone.

Could not agree more with the shout out to the first responders from all over that have come to help. We are so appreciate. God bless you one and all!

Excited for you. We are in the 90 plus hour range and still nothing. Pomaria, sc with no predictions given. Inconvenient but those folks in western nc have been completely left on their own. Prayers for all suffering from an awful storms devastation. And thankful to be safe, heck I can at least drive outta here. But I did miss only my second home game in 8 years.

We have power and air antenna and I saw the ticker on ABC out of Asheville that there are still 600 people in Western NC that are unaccounted for. Prayers for their health. 🙏
