This should be very interesting to see how this turns out. Maybe this will finally begin the pipeline of talent from Grayson that Clemson was supposed to be getting when it first hired Conn years ago. As of this date, I may be wrong, it appears the only player of significance from Grayson, to Clemson, has been Phil Mafah. Gotta give to Conn despite this pipeline never developing, and getting away blameless after the abysmal performance of the defense last season, while serving as CO-DC, he's still has a job. Must be nice being the head coaches best friend. Can't complain about the benefits either. A $900k salary plus bonuses. If that doesn't warrant a spot on the FBI's 10 most wanted for robbery not sure what does.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Both Gallman & Carter came to Clemson before Conn was hired. Since his hiring no talent of significance, other than Mafah, has come to Clemson. Additionally no players from his position group have ever been drafted in the 1st or 2nd round. The only 2 from his position group ever drafted, Wallace & Muse, were recruited by Reed.

Gallant and Carter were part of a package deal that also included Robert Nkemdiche.
Nkemdiche was one of the top handful of players in the country and possibly the top recruit in the nation ( not sure )
People were upset that we missed on RN as his mom steered him to Ole Miss to play alongside his brother.
They both worked out really well for us and recruiting gurus on TigerNet were once again proven wrong.

You are correct. Gallman and Carter were both very good players for Clemson, but like I said they arrived before Conn was hired. Still waiting on this supposed pipeline of recruits from Grayson high school that were supposed to attend Clemson following Conn's hire. Like I said other than Mafah not much has attended from Grayson to Clemson since Conn's being hired on football staff. Since you also said nothing to dispute the lack of development of players in his position group leading to NFL draft picks, I'll take that as what I wrote was correct. Don't get me wrong I'm not mad at him for stealing money, I just find it hilarious that it never seems to get mentioned on T-Net. That's right I keep forgetting his most important qualification...............

Nkemdiche was the silver tuna.
Had we gotten him that perhaps the " pipeline " may have developed.
Gallman and Carter signings didn't register a blip on the recruiting radar.
I'm not discounting anything you're saying , just adding context as it may ( or not ) have played a role

Not sure what the context is your adding but I think we can both agree that Conn is stealing money and provides very little if any value other than being Dabo's best friend. My recommendation is turn over the secondary (CB's and Safeties) over to Reed. Every one of the staff including Dabo knows Conn has been stealing Reed's practice drills for years and it still hasn't helped in his development of players. Reed has shown to be a better recruiter and developer of talent. Not sure why Reed wasn't given the opportunity to be DC other the the fact that he is _____.(I'll leave that last word alone because don't want to upset the T-Net crowd).

I don't know if any of you saw the AA game in San Antonio this year, but Tyler Atkinson practically made every tackle when he was in the game. Kid looks like a beast and is every bit the 5 star they say he is
