Wow…. Is this a retake of the Bar Scene from Star Wars! Between the ‘taking a knee’ in the NFL and this halftime show…. I’m glad I haven’t watched an NFL for a few years now….are we still in America?

I’m 55 years old and I was listening to funk and R&B in the 70s and at Clemson in the 80s with my black roommate I was listening to digital underground and NWA. This has nothing to do with anything other than woke racist grievance industry BLM kiss ### to the left giving into the cancel culture and culture war from the extreme left that does not represent 70% of America. There were no political messages (wouldn't be surprised if the NFL had stipulations about that) or narratives pushed in any direction... just the music the artists performed in their careers.
You should consider the person who warned you that it would be anti... whatever as not informed or pushing anti... whatever. After reading so many of your posts, I always considered you to be a free thinker...
I'm a lil disappointed...

However, it's an odd sentiment to me to suggest it's indicative of something that'd make you wonder if you're in America. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, but it sure could seem like you saw folks who don't look like you singing music you don't like and thought they didn't belong in your country.

I agree. I’m not young but I thought it was great. I feel like some of you cats are just old fogeys. I enjoy different types of music. You can’t have the same type of music every year for the halftime show. If they had country music I would not be real crazy about it but I understand they need variety and many people actually like it.

my father in law was saying the same things right before the game... what talk show got everyone so worked up? There had to have been something that sent out the bat signal before the halftime show to make sure not to watch the woke, BLM halftime show. BTW.. i didn't see anything of the sort.
I saw 90s hip hop moguls singing their old stuff. California Love or In da club..are not about a woke agendas people. As much as i tell these lefty libs to stop getting worked about all the lefty propaganda that is pitched to them about the jab and russia collusion.. i gotta say the same for my conservative brethren... ya'll get worked just as much. I watched no political news leading up to this game/halftime show/ etc. and enjoyed it. Just turn the stuff off. It doesn't do you any good anyways.
You don't like rap? Understandable. I don't like Jazz...My grandpa who loved Waylon and the Gaithers would have hated it too. I wouldn't have expected him to like Snoop Dogg or Dr Dre.. but just as a simple spectator.. all i heard/saw was 90s music that i remember from my high school days. Thought it was pretty good. Don't really know much about the newer guy (b/c all rap music is the same these days.. plug kendrick lamar, drake, etc and you get the same output - my old man rant) but i thought it was simply party music. I'm not a hip hop guy but i like a little snoop or dre every now and again.
btw i saw where they said eminem kneeled.. first off I didn't see it nor did anyone i was with and he apparently was kneeling in memory of Tupac who's song they were interluding into at the time. Either way...politics suk. They make everyone pissed and make everyone miss fun. Like i said my father in law was talking that mess before the game so i know that sentiment was already swirling. I didn't see it and I liked it. It wasn't the greatest thing ever but it was fun.

It was the best halftime show in years! My cable was acting up and I had no sound on that channel. It was the only one affected!
