Are there other clubs nearby for ours to compete with (however that works)? Or would they have to haul horses all the way out to Texas too?

So, it's pretty easy to be ranked in the top 25? The problem here is in recruiting the horses. I guess you have to go HorseIllustrated to find out how many stars the horse has and then go from there. I am told the horses are not tempted by money, so it makes it difficult. Any bozo that is not afraid of horses can ride it.

an event (it's not a sport)that at most is a club level competition that is not sponsored by the NCAA. If 100 schools fielded an equestrian team it might be a sponsored discipline.

I could really use it on another board if that is true
in another thread someone said there were only 14 teams
and now someone says many of the teams are club teams and this is not NCAA sponsored
I would love to know what is true in all this

So they win a non NCAA National Collegiate Equestrian Association trophy and they are all crowing how many trophies they have won. Poor horses having a coot on their backs must be horrible. The horse should throw them and then step on them!!!!! Well they can't win anything else, so they chose something that only a handful of schools have and no competition so they can crow. LOL

I dunno. But it does look rigorous/expensive just in terms of participating. They had to go against nine different teams, and traveled a lot (sometimes as far as Fresno). Somehow, they won this thing, but got 3rd in the SEC (there are only 3 SEC teams in their league), but the cacks had a better record overall (?). Go figure.
Whatever this sport is, they've gotten much better results than their football team, so hats off to them. I think they should cut some of Stevie's pay to help these girls out.
