Clemson played BC at night at home with a chance to go to the ACC championship game. I was in the upper deck with my young son freezing and pulling for the Tigers. It was a great game and Clemson lost when Matt Ryan broke our hearts with a long TD pass to a wide open receiver. Clemson had a chance late but came up short.
I remember the excitement of the chance to play in the championship game. It didn't happen and 84,000 people left around midnight broken hearted.
My point of the story is to enjoy this special day because you never know what the future holds. Don't take anything for granted.
Go Tigers.

Yes, Arron Kelly dropped a wide open deep ball that game ,because he was the last of our receivers that always tried to catch the ball in his body like a basket.

I remember walking by Aaron after the game outside of the stadium. The look on his face said it all. He was crushed. 2 QB's I was happy to see go to the pro's and never have to play against again: Matt Ryan, and Phillip Rivers.

I was in the upper deck student section and the image of him dropping that is ingrained in my memory due to the hurt of losing that game.

Well said. Those of us of a certain age can remember a 20-year conference championship drought (1992-2011).
As spoiled as we have been the last 13 years, I’ll never take for granted a chance to win our conference, not after living through the Hatfield/West/Bowden era.

I was there with my young son as well. Didn't get to Greenville til like 2:30. I remember a car sitting at the exit to lot 2 that didn't move for well over an hour. Our little boy threw the football with a bunch of us and reminded us of the innocence of youth. He had moved on from the loss lol.
