Her first sentence was about separating race. Her second sentence pointed out her difference in ethnicity.
Going full identity politics in the first two sentences of your announcement isn't how you attempt to gain the Presidential nomination for the Republican Party, but I suspect she isn't in it for the actual nomination. She is looking for those Lincoln Project bucks.

Funny how things hit differently. It didn't hit me as divisive, I thought it was more about without saying it, separating herself from the direction of the former president and his very ardent followers.
