13 of DJ’s 21 incompletions were due to

Poor accuracy. There were 3 drops and one incompletion due to pressure on DJ.
So of the on target passes DJ threw, nearly 20% were drops.
DJ was inaccurate on 45% of his passes and much worse than that on balls thrown more than 10 yards.
DJ was a hot mess for the third time this year. He’s started 27 games as a Tiger and is not improving as a passer and the coaches know it. The only explanations beyond today for not giving another QB a shot are:
1. All the other QB’s are worse than DJ passing the ball.
2. ?????

Inability to see the field, see WR’s open and hit bigger plays. How many of those 8 completions were also lateral type passes? How many of those completions were there open guys down field. If he just completes 4 more balls yesterday we win, because there were people open

of time game planning for our lateral pass game. Those provide MANY opportunities for "Take it to the House" Pick Sixes. Had the Coots not flat out dropped it, there would have been at least one of those yesterday.

He was a mess right away. He had some nice runs, but a QB’s main job is to distribute the ball. I hope the DJ experiment is over. We also need better coordinators. Offense has been garbage for two years. GO TIGERS!

CK comes in and performs well, and the staff that has had him riding the pine all year look foolish! Can't have that!

He stares down his #1 receiver and rarely scans the field

If you can bear watching a reply just watch his helmet Heck, he rarely even looks off his #1 target. Either really bad coaching or he isn’t coach able. Beyond time to move on from him and Streeter.

He actually made a read and a decision to hit a TE on a go in the slot against a true 4.3 corner…and overthrew it. Never had a chance, the TE was never open.

Dabo and Co are slogging their way through an NIL-type agreement they made with DJ: he came to Clemson in exchange for guaranteed starting?
Just a thought.

Not according to Big Dave who is apparently selling his younger son to the highest bidder (from Clemson Insider):
“Big Dave” Uiagalelei, the father of Clemson quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei and Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco five-star prospect Matayo Uiagalelei, appeared to call out Clemson’s coaching staff via Twitter on Tuesday night.
Big Dave posted on Twitter, “I haven’t heard from one coach at @ClemsonFB yet. No DC, no D-Line or D-End coach. I don’t understand, do you even want Matayo ???”
Matayo, who received an offer from the Tigers on June 1, 2021 — the first day Clemson began offering recruits in the 2023 class — is ranked as the No. 2 edge defender and No. 21 overall prospect in the class according to the 247Sports Composite.
Last month, Big Dave was very blunt about what it would take for a school to land Matayo. On March 4, Big Dave indicated on Twitter that his choice would be a “business decision” not determined by which school he likes the most but rather based on the amount of name, image and likeness money being offered.

I’ll say this, just a little nugget for all you future recruits… IT’S NOT WHAT SCHOOL YOU LIKE BEST, IT’S NOW BECOME A BUSINESS DECISION !!! NIL???? https://t.co/dGNqRTOH1l
