Wrestling won the Region 1 AA championship tonight at High Point Academy in Spartanburg!
They took down Landrum 84-0
High Point Academy 66-12
Chesnee 35-26
Chesnee came into tonight ranked #1 in the State
Liberty was #2
Next up… Upperstate

Congratulations Liberty High School.
I was on a couple of wrestling state championship teams at Airport High School back in the late 70s.
Tough sport right there.

My son wrestled for Liberty until he graduated in ‘18. His senior year, the State Championship was held at Airport High.
My daughter has been the student trainer for the last 4 years.
This is her senior year, so hopefully they will win their 2nd State Championship in 3 years!

My nephew is Wrestling for the JV state championship tomorrow in Lexington. Only a Freshman for Lancaster High school. Following in his brothers footsteps who placed second last year in the State championship in his senior year. He now wrestles for Limestone

Awesome, I went to Crescent High School 2 AA, we used to play all those schools and we were good in Wrestling too for many years.
