That's cold. As an aside, for you geography buffs out there, where would you say the foothills start in South Carolina? Basically if you were to describe the line?

I’m near Apex, NC and have a bunch of mallards, hoodies, and one Redhead drake in my pond today. First time I’ve ever seen a Redhead in the pond, he came in with the mallards. We can’t hunt migratory birds on Sunday in NC, hope that Redhead is there in the morning.

in a long time, with very little snow. The lakes weren't even fully iced over until just a few days ago. It's a weird winter for sure. It's been colder here in metro Atlanta than it has been up there.

Last weekend, my front porch thermometer read -10 on Saturday morning, -18 on Sunday and -19 on Monday. Nowhere near 11 degrees as a high on any of those days. Guess that's to be expected living at my 7,380 feet elevation. Anyone want to move to Colorado?

Here in the Charlotte area (Fort Mill)…would like to see this kind of weather…teens and low 20’s at night and 40ish during the day for another month. Sadly, it’s going to really warm up for a few weeks. Here’s to hoping the last half of February is brutal with a couple of snowstorms. After that, I’ll be satisfied that we had a winter and Spring can come when it wants.
