This doesn't sound sketchy at "They advised us on what we could say and we came up with our own narrative, feeling we could get past it."

Saw this posted elsewhere. Rumor was he that he got caught on school grounds with a young lady, doing what teens do.

Rumor is that he was caught doing the dirty deed with a consenting partner on school property. If that’s true I understand a punishment that makes it clear that that is not something to be tolerated but see absolutely no reason that he should lose his scholarship or be ineligible.

About 10 years I moved to newberry it was my 9th grade year I joined the football team and we had a DT he was highly ranked top 300 in nation his name was Kenny something he chose south carolina( never lived up to his rank as i never saw him play a snap after high school) but one day after school as im walking through the school to get out to practice as im walking down the hall getting close to the gym I see a girl( also 9th grader she was actually in some my classes) come out the boys locker room followed by big Kenny I'm pretty sure this happens a lot especially now a days

Age of consent in Arizona is 18, but there’s precedent for Romeo and Juliet laws so unless the girl would be younger than 15 it’s hard to see that being a problem.
This is kids being kids. So long as everything was consensual it’s a victimless “crime”.

Most of you are talking the legalities of the situation. A school district deals with student regulations and a student code of conduct. Undoubtedly, this was egregious enough to "sit him down" for the rest of the season. No doubt, this puts the school district in the position of possibly defending their actions in court, but it won't happen quickly enough to help the QB. The family thought it was clearly best to step away from the situation.
