Does it really matter if we play LSU or Ohio State first?

because they both run RPO offenses & so for the 2nd game, our D should be more used to it. I personally am rooting for LSU-Clemson in the Peach Bowl for a rematch of that thrilling 25-24 win we had 7 years ago

beat whoever we play for the rest of this season so we can repeat as NC. We can't worry about who that may be.

Would rather play LSU first so that we don't end up playing them in NOLA for the NC

I am sure there will be some fans who take a couple weeks off & driving from Atlanta down to New Orleans, maybe in an RV & party down in New Orleans, there are worse way to spend a week

Is it just me, or does OSU seem like a much tougher opponent

OSU is #1 in offense and #1 in defense. We're in the top 5 in both as well, but they seem like an even match to me.
LSU on the other hand has a lousy defense and I think we'd beat them handily.
I for one would like to see OSU and LSU flip places so OSU is #1...we could stay at 2 or 3. If a second SEC team did make it in as #4, neither SEC team would make it to the finals and we'd meet OSU for the big showdown.
I tend to agree that we'd beat LSU, Alabama, UGA, or OK easily (if we play like we're capable of)...but I just don't get the reason for everyone discounting OSU. What am I missing?

Fields is a freshman, he didn't spend much time behind center last year. He likes to focus on one receiver and is subject to miss others who are open. He hasn't really been challenged much so far by facing a lock down secondary. I see Field's talent, his arm slot and mechanical perfection as well as anyone but he isn't that hot at reading defenses and like Tajh and KB he will keep the ball if he is rushed on an option read.
Imo, we're a four TD favorite over OSU unless Dabo holds the throttle open until the end of the third quarter. We can score all we want and then some on OSU's defense.

I sure hop we TCB, otherwise I am going to have to go to Costco & buy a new TV, I wouldn't handle a defeat in either of those games very well
