Which is crazy, considering this is shaping up to be his best season in 13 years.
If we continue to play well his detractors will say...
1) The ACC is down.
2) This is the result of the new assistant hires. One of them should be the head coach.
3) He can't win without a really talented team.
4) He only gets motivated when his job is on the line.
If we don't continue to play well his detractors will say...
1) The ACC is down, and CBB still couldn't get it done.
2) See, assistants weren't the issue.
3) He can't win, even with a talented team.
4) He can't even get motivated when his job is on the line.
Not an enviable position to be in, and certainly not fair. My advice is to just keep coaching to the best of your ability and try to block out all the noise.

Who do you think recruited the players? The answer is Coach Brad Brownell. So, he can recruit. You are not going to get one-and-dones at Clemson. I do not want one-and-dones at Clemson. Develop players, build the program, cherry pick the transfer portal. Brownell has done all three. There is a minority of losers who just do not want to admit it.

we make a DEEP run in March in the NCAA's.
And by deep I mean quarter final deep.
Then, all bets are off. But I'm not holding my breath as most Brownlee teams fold in the 1st round.

while I was at Clemson. I only applied myself to the point where I was able to pass, and not much beyond. College life was just too much fun to waste any of that time in pursuit of STUDYING. But, I do believe, had I access to all the tutors and such that the athletic programs enjoy, I would certainly have added several tenths to that GPA.
