Ran into an SEC fan at grocery store...

So I’ve read these threads where people talk about their encounters and mostly thought they were silly or embellished. I had an encounter today st the grocery store that restored my faith in tnetters. To begin with, I live in Clemson, SC, some of you may have heard of it. Clemson is very near the university of the same name. One would suspect there are a lot of Clemson fans around. I have been known to wear articles of clothing emblazoned with the Clemson logo from time to time. Today I had on a “clemson man needs no introduction” t-shirt, which apparently means I would like to be engaged in conversation.
As I’m walking down the aisle minding my own business, a guy stocking the shelves (not a store employee), says something somewhat unintelligible to me about Clemson’s upcoming contest with TAMU. I give him a funny look, and he explains that “Clemson just played a cream puff, you about to get worked by TAM, roll tide!”
This got my interest so I asked him if we were playing the Texas A&M Crimson Tide next week. He repeated his insult, to which I explained that that’s how the SEC has always been. This confused him, he asked what I meant, and I told him everyone else rides the coat tails of Bama and pulls for the conference, that Clemson fans pull for Clemson, to hell with any other ACC team.
He looked like he wanted to say something else but I was too busy moving on to buy the items I needed, and he was busy stocking shelves. No identifiable team gear on, but I suspect he was a ####.
But seriously, I’m in a store in Clemson SC one mile from campus, and you wanna talk smack about a team you apparently don’t even directly pull for? Was there a shortage of other folks in the store wearing a tiger paw?

made up of people who never spent a hour in a classroom of an SEC school.
My wife is a former All SEC Volleyball player at Auburn, and she proudly wears Auburn T-shirts. She gets "Roll Tide" everywhere she goes in the Southeast. I've seen it happen to her many times. Her first question back to the "Roll Tide" numb-nuts is always the same, "so, when did you go to Alabama?" The answer, 100% of the time? "I never went to school at Bama".
These Bama fans forget they wandered in the wilderness from 1982 until 2008 being a rather average to above average team, with the exception of the 1992 season. SEC fans also forget that LSU only had 3 winning seasons in the 1990's. They forget that Florida didn't officially have its first 10 win season until 1990, that Tennessee has sucked since 2007, that UGa hasn't won a NC since 1980.
Saban brought LSU to a NC, and he has dominated at Alabama. Without him, the SEC is just another conference.
