Question for everyone

Im hearing Kirby Smart may be the one that is the front runner for the job down there.... Now, there is the possibility that he will stay and continue to coach under Saban until he steps aside(which will probably be in about 6 years) then take the Tide job. OR......he takes the job in Columbia and stays till Saban leaves and returns to be the Tide's HC. hes no doubt the best defensive coordinator BAMA has ever seen but will he leave an elite program to take over??? If so will he return them to what they used to be 5 years ago?

If took over that dumpster fire. It will be the last head coaching job that he has. You don't need a crystal ball to tell that if he coaches South Carolina and fails and he will fail Bama's not going to want him back. Too risky for him to leave Bama and hope to go back when Saban retires.

The USC,JR. job is a 4-5 yr.turnaround proj. for someone or most likely two coaches if they get lucky with recruiting.

Except for UGA's meltdown, Bama's D hasn't been exactly lights out , with arguably the best talent in the country.

I would hope our Venables would NOT consider a head coaching job in Columbia. I would imagine he wants that Kansas State job ASAP when it becomes open. I'd imagine we keep Venables another season for our 2016 "SPECIAL" season. Although......this season could potentially be something if we keep our focus.
