Question for Dabo haters...
Apr 24, 2012, 11:00 PM
|
|
What are the reasons why people say Dabo is a bad coach? Besides offering recruits that probably shouldn't get an offer.
I was just wondering if there were any specific times in a game where he made a bad call to go for it, or what? Or is it off the field issues?

Other than that its whatever. I walked on the Clemson FB team in 05 so I got to know Dabo a little bit. The way hes come out and kinda run his mouth at the "10%" or whatever percent it was surprised me.

"I take full responsibility for the loss" but if so and so hadn't dropped that pass on the last drive, or if so and so hadn't fumbled the ball when we were driving, or if so and so hadn't missed that field goal, we could have won.

also versus Dabos just be happy to have bene here approach that he took after the Orange Bowl. or how he builds up every team we play to be world beaters. TB took the cake though when he said "Winning is tough. 50% of all teams that play on Saturday will lose" hahaha

He needs to beat the Gamecocks.

Dabo needs to reclaim our State Dominance over them. This is the worst its ever been and it's sickening listening to these gamecock fans nowadays. Its never been that fun bc we usually beat them on a consistent basis but lately its been embarassing. Other than that I love Dabo. I said in 2008 before the season started that he was going to be our next head coach and be a good one. I looked at his football background and it compared similarly to Danny Fords. Just start beating the Gamecocks and keep up the good work everywhere else. Go Dabo, GO Tigers!

I like what he said in Prowl and Growl the other day
"We will beat Carolina in the next 20 years! Fans tell me they don't care if we go 1-11 as long as we beat them, they are the same fans that will say u beat Carolina but didn't win them all. At the end of the day we have got to go 14-0."

but bottom line is after 3 years of dabo we are possible not as tough as we were. USC has killed us three straight years and we consistently come off of long breaks looking like utter crap. Seems like lack of leadership at the top or an incompetent leader.
He has hired one great assistant (morris) and one good assistant (BV) but other than that I fail to see what Dabo brings to the table coaching wise.

For most it is because he was not a name coach when hired. To most of these people he will never be good enough no matter what our record is.

I wasnt happy with the hire because it was a very very risky hire. So far it has worked out and he has earned some slack after last year. You cant discount the previous 13 games because the last one was bad.

Winning a championship is good. The media overlooks the acc because there were no acc teams that finished in the top 20.
