You got that right. He is a coward. He is weak. Nobody will follow him on their own. So he controls people with threats of violence and actual violence.
I’ve never understood the people that say Putin is smart and must be respected.

But the West just stands by, afraid of him. We WILL be in this fight because Putin is not stopping with Ukraine. So we can get him now or try to get him later, but there will eventually be a confrontation.
My favored plan is to cut off access routes around Ukraine (Poland, Black Sea), then go after his supply lines into Ukraine. A few A-10 strikes on his armored columns would make this whole thing look a lot different. I'm also not opposed to a drone strike on Putin himself. No other Russian will step up to be as crazy as he is.
