Back when the deal to have a purple out was made, they committed to wearing purple. Whether it is all purple or not I don't know.

I don't see the point in having a purple out if the team doesn't wear some purple too.

I think that would be a cool new tradition.
That way, all the folks that like tradition, get the Orange on White 5 of the 6 homes games. For 1 home game, we have a new tradition and get to rock the purple, but it's not overdone like it was back in the TB days.
Personally, I wouldn't mind the Purple on Orange look. With the orange helmet / purple jerseys / orange pants, it really showcases Clemson's colors.

I don't do purple. (and Tigers aren't purple)

I'm replacing the purple with black and using the stripe as the primary marketing tool. (rather than the paw)
It looks a lot better and makes more sense to me. (as the stripe combines the military heritage, mascot & unique tradition of running down the hill)
And Tigers have black stripes, not purple.
