"In bounder is always, always the most dangerous player". He wasn't coached up at all on this, not prepared. His reflex kicked in to go cover a man way in the other corner that he could never have gotten to anyway. Screens have to be switched on man-to-man in bounds, which Purdue did not do. For Houston, that was way too easy.

Agreed! That was a shocker even to the Houston players & coaches. Even Uzan looked surprised when he came so wide open so quickly. Crazy ending for 2 really good defensive teams to end that way with a really bad defensive play. I was afraid Uzan would blow the layup since he was so wide open and had such little time to get the shot off. What a great game!!

they didn't switch every pick. Simple as that. This is why the inbound defender felt the need to leave Uzan.

I'm a Purdue grad, but wanted UH to win because I've lived here in Houston 39 years.
