DJU: I struggle to find good reason why someone posted

negatively about DJU this past weekend. It's like people can't be negative enough just because the Internet awaits. Over 850 people sampled the thread. It was kind of like riding by a car wreck, I guess.
Much ado was made about DJU's 46% completion rate, certainly a negative figure for sure. They also pointed out DJU's 2 INT's, but didn't disclose that these were his first of the new season.
It was this threadbare detail that sparked my interest, clearly indicating that the poster had ulterior motive, a sad fact indeed relative a kid no longer at Clemson. So I looked into it and watched some of the game on tape replay.
Turns out DJU was in fact 14 for 30, which correctly rounds to 47%. I guess it was important for this poster to shave another percentage point out of DJU's hide now he's gone out the door for good.
But what the poster didn't reveal as well was that DJU tossed it around for 284 yards, which included a fair amount of YAC. Notably, that's over 20 yards per completion and nearly 9.5 yards per attempt. In other words, every two times DJU dropped back, on average they came within a whisker of making a 1st down. OSU didn't need DJU to complete 70% of his passes because he still had a down to spare to make the final half yard.
By comparison, Cade's Yds per Attempt was 6.3 and Hunter Helms' was 7.0
DJU played San Diego State; we played Boca Raton State University, so not much difference there either.
I post this only to actively shame those who simply can't let it go. Yes, shame them. If it doesn't pertain to you, then great; certainly, it's time to have moved on.
Everyone's winning right now - maybe we should all celebrate that.

San Diego State is 88th and FAU 103 in rankings after yesterdays games. Don’t need to disparage our play to make your point.

I offered our stats purely as comparison, and am very happy with Cade's play yesterday.
I am not sure if it'll be good enough to beat "good" FSU, but BC's QB gave them fits yesterday, and if Cade's got anything, it's wheels. I'd even say his are as good as Travis's.
Now, Beaux and the WR/TE's need to catch everything in sight.

What an ego to think YOU actually have any influence to shame anyone, especially on an anonymous board.
You really do think a lot of yourself don’t you,,,

I suspect he got tired of the national media talking about home great DJ is doing and that the problem all along was his coaching at Clemson. I wish DJ the best, but what I’ve seen from him so far is exactly what we witnessed from him the past 2 years. The Notre Dame game seems to be an apparition.

Yes, that would also be correct. But I did mean apparition, as in a ghostlike image of a person.

He'll suk anywhere.
It's okay. Aint no hating going on againt him. He'll still go on and lead a happy, productive life. It just wont be in the NFL.
Same for Cade in a way.
He doesnt suk -- he's good -- but he's not great. And to win with this sort of jacklegged coaching and gamecalling, you have to be great.
If i's him, i'd be IN the portal by 9 am 11.26.

If the poster was such a good guy, and DJU deserved

to be run aground, and I am just an egotist, then why,
pray tell,
did neither the poster nor any of you
respond to the Stats that the poster lied about?
You see, your BS, little boy trope is tiresome for people who want something more than your 3rd grade gossip fest. Each and every one of you declared yourselves by lying - POS all.
