I don’t know what bugs me more…the hyper speed or the “Woooo!!!” at the end.
Well…they’re both terrible.
What a disgrace.
I seriously cringe every time I hear that cheer (which is A LOT of times at each game). It sucks.

I have heard the student section two full bars ahead of the band on the alma mater. And, everyone around me have no rhythm whatsoever clapping to Tiger Rag.
And, speaking of tempo, why has the band sped up the National Anthem with a fermata right before the bridge and then singing the bridge a tempo? Is it because of playing 'We Will Rock You" now?

I've been going to Clemson games since 1983 and have never once heard it w/ less than two "fights" at the end. Not once. I'm not saying it doesn't ever happen that way, but it certainly happens enough with three that if it ever was officially 2, that norm has morphed.

I don't know when it morphed either, but it did and the present abomination doesn't have the crisp, forceful punch of the original..... not even close.
Kinda like the wooo hooo.... that's awful, too.
Having attended a military HS, the day I arrived at Clemson as a Rat and began Army ROTC, it was discovered that I already knew and could demonstrate not only the Manual of Arms and give lessons in spit shining shoes and polishing brass, so was drafted in the Pershing Rifles and immediately made a squad leader with orders to teach the squad how to march and drill - but also demonstrated in class for the Army Colonel ROTC professor (as punishment for talking as he was walking into the classroom) the description of the main features of an M-1 and how to field strip an M-1 rifle into 3 main groups. He didn't realize I could do it until it was too late and I had mischievously asked him if he wanted me to completely disassemble it for a complete cleaning. He quickly told me to take a seat and I had no more trouble from him..... so......

You are correct! The other thing that we get wrong is the raising of the right hand during the alma mater. I don't know why people think the hand should go up on the word "echo", but the hand doesn't go up until the beginning of the phrase "O'er the mountain height." I wish there was a way to get it corrected.
