Proud to be a tiger

Ever since I was an infant I was in CLEMSON Tigers t-shirts, pants, shoes, and even socks. I am proud to say it is what I grew up with and what has been in my blood from the time I could understand any type of concept of what Clemson University was. My grandfather was a Clemson student before he was sent off to the war, and that tradition has been passed down from generation to generation since then. The only time that I can remember being able to stay up late at night when I was young was when my dad let me watch Clemson sports on TV or listen to them on the radio. Like many of others, and many of you on these boards, being a Clemson Tiger is something that is bred in you, and it is a passion, feeling, and loyalty that you can't explain. I sometimes take for granted that I am a Tiger, and what it means and represents. Other schools and programs that have the intense passion and devotion that Clemson has to its fans and its fans have for Clemson are slim-to-none. There are many things that I have been blessed with in my life: a great family, a good mind, quality friends, a great childhood, parents who care, and the privilege of being a Clemson Tiger. I am PROUD to be a part of the Clemson family, and I am thankful for that family as well.
All this is coming from a "South Carolina fan" that I had a conversation with earlier. He claimed to be proud of his team and that it's great to be a gamecock (which sounds absolutely horrific). But 2 years ago he was wearing a texas jersey on saturdays. So Clemson family, I believe it is great to be a CLEMSON TIGER, and will always be great to be a Clemson Tiger. I, just as many of you, have been there for the good times and the really bad times, and I will never be ashamed of this university. Thank God for Clemson University, and for what it means to me, and many others that are a part of the family. Go Tigers, and lets absolutely destroy every team that comes between us and that national championship! That is all.
Just had to share.

It would have been like that for me. I became a fan in the early 90's. By the grace of God a close friend of mine was born to a Clemson family. I believe her dad did civil engineering and she did chemical. I moved to Charleston from Puerto Rico in 90, but man did I love watching the Tigers with him. Brainwashed me juuuuust right!

Good post my friend. I was not born a Tiger, but found my love on a visit to God's country. The most rabid Clemson fan I know is a uga grad, but this lady bleeds orange. As I have posted before, I would rather be an 0-11 Tiger than an 11-0 chicken.
