Or anyone else in the low country.
Wife of is a big sea shell and shark tooth scavenger. Looking for memorial Day weekend.
I've heard there's a spot behind one of the south of Charleston Islands that you can put your boat in and get the best shells and sharks teeth. Anybody know what the best boat ramps for a 15 ft jon boat to putter around and get the best shells?

As a kid we used to go to Cherry Grove and stay at my uncles beach house.

Was right at the end of the SC beach Houses. We'd take his john boat and go to what is now calles Waites Island, between Cherry Grove and Little River (border). The island is not populated, abandoned, and had TONS of shells.

Back near the old Navy Yard is a great place. Especially around the docks.

Go to the Cooper river side of drum island pretty much in Charleston harbor. Beach the boat and bring a shovel. The sharks teeth and all kind of stuff is buried along the low tide water line. Someone found a meglodon tooth there. It is on display at east bay deli hanging on the wall. Cool stuff The attached pic is of the east bay deli meglodon. It’s about the size of your hand.

has pulled several GINORMOUS ancient shark (megolodon?) teeth out of the Cooper River. The only thing I ever almost pulled out of there was a water mocassin years ago that was about two feet underwater, right where my lure got hung up on a submerged stump. I happened to glance into the water just as I was about to reach down to retrieve the lure.
I quickly decided the stump could keep it. Luckily, I always kept a pair of wire cutting pliers in my tackle box, for, as Foghorn Leghorn would say, "just such an emergency". Boy, Boy, I say BOY, pay ATTENTION when I'm a talkin' to ya!

You could put in Calabash River, go to Intercoastal

and hit Bird Island. No one is ever out there. Used to camp out there all the time.
Camping there is cool because at night you can see all the hotels and lights of Myrtle, but not the people and smells.
