They tend to be great hires. True? I think so. I know some are still not sold on Riley and at times have questioned some play calling. But passing game was much better this year than last.

Are you saying "gone out" as in outside of the program?
Coordinator hires from Dabo, not counting the interim staff (and how Clemson fans would evaluate them):
-Kevin Steele (outside) - bad -Chad Morris (outside) - good -Brent Venebles (outside) - good -Jeff Scott/Tony Elliott (inside) - good -Brandon Streeter (inside) - bad -Wes Goodwin (inside) - bad -Garrett Riley (outside) - ?

Chad Morris was great as well and trained up Jeff Scott and Tony Elliot.

Was Streeter bad or was DJ just horrible? We don’t have enough data points in my opinion, but Dabo had to make a change. He definitely wasn’t great, but he inherited a pretty bad offense those years. I personally think Tony wasn’t that great without Jeff and that slowly led to where we got. Riley has improved the offense and I think his legacy will be known after Cade moves on. If the offense doesn’t fall off with CV, he’ll prove he’s a great coach and OC. We still had a lot of bad play calls this year, especially late in the game and hopefully he’s learning from that.
I think Dabo hires a proven DC this go round. I think he learned on the job training is more trouble than anything else and can kill the momentum the program has.

Streeter was indeed hampered by the failure of DJ. His play calling was limited because he could only call what DJ could conceivably execute. But as I’ve said before, I blame him mostly for the 2022 home loss to SC. That loss probably cost him his job.

a running game for much of the season. We had more passing yards against Texas than everyone else. We threw for 3 TDs against them whereas they gave up only 4 all season.
Cade and the WRs should be even better next season and if we find a running game we should again be one of the better offenses in the country. Good enough to be elite.
Riley was irrefutably a great hire. No coach calls the perfect play and has it executed every time, but the growth of our offense cannot realistically be denied.
