Father’s Day gifts

My wife keeps asking what I want for Father’s Day. Right now all my family is home and healthy. I’ve got 2 that just graduated this spring from Clemson.

One with a Masters in Education (she wants to be rich lol) and the other with a BS in Engineering.

I told her I didn’t want anything other than to cook everyone a steak dinner.

This is gonna be on of the last times we can do this for Father’s Day as they are ready to take off across the country with their future.

So I can’t think of a better gift!

What’s everyone else doing?

Enjoy! I’m an empty nester with my three in California, Texas, and Florida. I’m 24 years in Florida, preparing to move back to SC the end of the month. Enjoy every minute , as they move forward with their lives and away from home. Great times!

That describes me - I am headed to visit

my mother who turns 95 this weekend and will return home as the kids and grandkids visit for an afternoon. I will probably get gift cards that I will have a hard time figuring out how to use. Strange that I hunt and fish and can wander through Cabela's and not see anything that I really need.

That’s a great thing to do. When my daughter was at Clemson we started going tubing on the French Broad River south of Asheville. When she graduated and got married her husband’s family started joining us. We would have 12-15 people in a big group. It was a blast. Best way I could think of to spend Father’s Day. We did that for a few years then she had our granddaughter so we had to pause that for a few years until the granddaughter gets big enough to go.
This year my wife and I are headed to Alaska tomorrow so Father’s Day will be a Summer Solstice party in Fairbanks.
