How have these guys not graduated from high school yet technically but we’re competing in spring practice. Do you not have to have a high school diploma to start college. I’m confused.

My best guess is that most high schools are switching to the "early college" model and running their classes on a semester basis, enabling those who are able to complete their high school credits prior to their senior year. For incoming college football players, they're allowed to enroll early because they completed all of their high school credits to be eligible for early entry and the NCAA has the mid-year/December signing period. They graduated from high school a semester early. Not sure how individual schools do it. But very common to have “enough credit to graduate” long before may of a senior year. And not sure they do this very often for non-athletes either.

In N.C., you can go to tech school and take college courses, while in h.s. Counts to your graduation and you can leave early. Good friend of mines son graduated a year early. He already has enough credit to be a sophomore. Another, his daughter was almost done after junior. Had to have language, and was done first semester senior year.

I am glad to hear about Drew Woodaz. Nate says he is the better athlete, but I have heard little about him. I expect him to become an asset for the LBs.
