they refer to how he keeps defenses guessing. This kid runs and throws. Our RBs could be Heisman candidates and our program could be CFP bound.
I like DJ as a person. I think he could be good on the correct team.
Cade doesn't need the correct team. he creates the correct team around him. He elevates play

Big, strong armed quarterback with generational arm strength. Has a big frame but looks lean and is well put together. Has one of the strongest arms in recent memory and has won ‘long ball’ contests with a throw of 80+ yards. Is much more than a big arm. Shows great touch, accuracy to all three levels of the field and greet natural feel for throwing the football. Understands when to take a little off, throws with anticipation and is a plus athlete as well. Has the ability to run zone read and is a very good runner in the open field. Can buy time and is accurate throwing down the field rolling out to his right or his left. Natural leader and a great teammate who is also a potential high round draft pick in Major League Baseball. Can still improve going through progressions and finding secondary receivers as well as escaping pressure. Upside is off the charts. Projects as a impact upper tier Power 5 starter and future early NFL draft pick.

I don't agree with that. DJ won camps, dominated in high schools (his stats were literally triple that of Vizzina's playing against teams that would beat Vizzina's team or opponents by 60), and won the national championship by engineering a crazy comeback against a team with 20 P5 players on it led by Bryce Young. He then comes in as a freshman and in two games, throws for close to 1,000 yards, including more than any other QB in history at Notre Dame. You can't say those are flukes.
What you can say is that he's coached by one of the 2-3 worst QBs in all of Clemson history, and after spending an offseason with this dumpster fire of a coach and player, his mechanics were horrible. He then got pulverized by UGA and was like a thoroughbred that got spooked. He's never been the same.
It's stupid to think all these experts are wrong on ALL our QBs, when Streeter is the one constant. Even Trevor became a significantly worse passer under Streeter.

I do tend to agree that Streeter doesn’t seem to help our QBs develop and his play calling is seriously suspect, even if he was having to simplify it for DJ with his 2 years of struggling. Probably be best for everyone involved for Streeter to be released to work elsewhere.

I love the throwing 80+ yard stat. I just wish he could complete 10 to 20 yard passes consistently.

I think my post is exactly the opposite of jumping to conclusions. I don’t think there has been enough opportunity to see Cade play to make any conclusions about him. On the other hand it is pretty easy to come to conclusions about DJ. Lots of tape on him that should make us want to believe Cade will be better.

I was referring to the conclusion that more information is needed.
I pride myself in my gift of seeing potential the second i see it. (I just see it. and I saw it during GaTech. I felt it during Syracuse. Cade is different)
I will also never forget HANDOFF 6 to Notre Dame game (most people revel about DJs 400+ yards). guess what happened in UGA game. same thing.

Cade has had the ball in his hands for a pass or keeper 37 snaps total. Of those 37, I simply gathered the gifs of the plays that resulted in First Down, Touchdown or at least 8 yards.
This is 15 of 37 touches resulting in First down, touchdown or 8 yard gain. I left off one in particular to Drew Swinney that was thrown behind the LOS that gained 8 yards so it's really 16 of 37.
This does not include other passes and runs that were productive and gained yards.

Man just based on pure speed alone he looks better than DJ. And he has a more accurate ball with some zip on it. That 2 point conversion play against Syracuse was a thing of beauty.

We would probably be ranked in the top 2 if we managed the QB situation better this season.
DJ should be a short yardage package qb like Tebow was at Florida early in his career. We have gotten too much in to his story/loyalty and not in to results on the field.
Klubnik should be taking 95% of all snaps, he is a true spread QB, DJ is a pocket passer that doesn’t go through progressions.
We have forced a round peg in to a square hole.

Thank you for doing that. I feel, it's GOT to be the Seniors/leadership (player-wise) that is so adamant about keeping DJ as the starter.
CDS is just protecting his players...ALL of his players. I would bet $ he and the other coaches wanted to make the switch. Seniors/leadership wants DJ....it's THEIR final season, so he relents. CDS and the non-seniors have more years to win.
