Possible Feaster departure? Tavien seemed set on leaving

May 29, 2019, 8:05 AM

in the one on one I watched; has the staff left the door open? Is there a spot/ship set aside or will he be on his own?

If people were as good as their obituary - and products were as good as advertised - this would truly be a wonderful world !!

I think the only pending part of Feaster's departure is if he has the grades to transfer (or grades to graduate so that he can transfer) and play immediately.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Understood, he wants to be a grad transfer and enjoy...

May 29, 2019, 8:40 AM

the "privileges" it provides. Even Dabo has said that's expected.

:)

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Is it really possible that he's NOT leaving?

May 29, 2019, 8:24 AM

I know entering your name in the transfer portal isn't 100% binding, but I've never heard of a player (at least no one high profile) pulling their name back out and returning to school.

Also, once a player enters the transfer portal the coaches are free to rescind that scholarship and award it to somebody else.

Re: Is it really possible that he's NOT leaving?

May 29, 2019, 8:35 AM

Maybe, if for some reason he doesn't graduate.

That's the only way I see him staying.

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

So what is his actual size??

May 29, 2019, 8:28 AM

If you click on Mellusi’s name at the start of the article his stats say he is 5’11” 190 lbs. A couple sentences later it says he is 6’1” 210 lbs. I know he says he’s been working on getting bigger but.....?

2024 orange level member flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

He does 1st say, "I've gotten a lot bigger..." that's after

May 29, 2019, 8:37 AM

the new height/weight.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That's pretty astute of you

May 29, 2019, 8:49 AM

to see where it actually says his current height and weight in the article!

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Make it idjit proof and someone will make a better idjit.

Re: So what is his actual size??

May 29, 2019, 11:06 AM [ in reply to So what is his actual size?? ]

My son started his senior year of high school at age 17. His height and weight were similar to Chez at 5'11" and 190. He hit another growth spurt that year and started college at 6'1" and 210. He was mad at us for not waiting a year to start him in school. He would have loved to play his Sr. year with the added height and weight.

Re: So what is his actual size??

Good example. Perhaps the player stats in the player links aren’t maintained regularly. Smaller stats could be from when we first started recruiting him.

according to his 247 player page, he was measured at 5'10.25 and 188. I highly doubt he grew to 6'1 210 in 5 months.

Chez “Michael Michaels” Mellusi

May 29, 2019, 8:39 AM

Or Chez Mellusi Mellusis?

I am excited to see what this young man can do once he gets his feet under him. From the video I have seen a solid blend of speed and power. Will that translate to the next level, and does he have the vision needed to be a game changer? Time will tell, but he will at least provide quality depth.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Good timing Chez.

May 29, 2019, 1:51 PM

Go all ETN your freshman year!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Good timing Chez.

May 29, 2019, 2:00 PM

As we seen with ETN his freshmen year being able to block is very important and will help decide his playing time.

FYI, Darien Rencher is a scholarship RB.

May 29, 2019, 2:11 PM

Glad we have him on the squad. He made some nice runs in the Spring game.

Don't like the way you worded this because Tavian Feaster is graduating as well. You very well know that all people need is a small amount of uncertainty to run with something so don't just say this kid is transferring but give the entire story so that there's a proper context. He's graduating and because there's so many young guys it may be better for him to get a fresh start elsewhere which is really his motivating factor. He's been great inspite of a lot of injuries. He graduated and decided to give it a fresh start...

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I hope that he does graduate, but

May 29, 2019, 9:47 PM

He has some work to do. If he wants to try somewhere else, I hope he graduates so he can play this season at his new school. It is not guaranteed from what I have heard.

Seems like a great kid. Really excited about this one. Seems to fit that "diamond in the rough" mold that Elliot likes.
