I like on3 because I post on a Nole board affiliated with on3 (warchant.com). So, I find it easier to navigate and get good info than the other two major national sites. On3 uses the network of affiliates they have with several different schools (warchant being the FSU affiliate) to assimilate their info.
If you want to know just about Clemson, then a private site (like TigerNet) is great. And, you will probably get the info a few hours earlier than any national site.
But, if you're looking for a "one stop national site" then on3 is the best.
Caveat, I don't know how much of the on3 stuff is behind a paywall.

Portal news is a little disheartening at the moment. Daily we see where prospects have committed to elite teams making their roster better, but we only have news of one visitor.

When I look at the portal I don't see that many players that are better than what we have for the most part. I'd love to have some RB depth though. Maybe another edge and DB. It's early. The biggist problem I see is that players are entering one day and committing either the same day or the next. Tampering must be going on and it is against the rules. I DO NOT want us to get into the tampering game. I'd almost rather lose playing the right way than to have to cheat to win.

No need to waste time worrying about the few players in the Portal that are good enough to play big time football. If the Portal was so great, there would be different teams in the Playoff.

I used to follow H.S. recruiting closely and now I'm backing off of that because the commitments mean so little nowadays and because of the transfer portal. I'll be danged if I am going to start following free agency tampering/recruiting.
