Playoffs

At the risk of beating a horse that is surely on life support, here’s the thing I genuinely don’t know. Is it better for CU recruiting for us to slide in the back door of the playoffs at like a 4-seed, get blasted by a really good UGA squad, but be able to say we are a team that goes to the playoffs or is it better to go to the Orange Bowl against a UM or PSU and maybe win, maybe lose? To my mind it’s better to go to the playoffs than not, even if we lose bigly. But I don’t know that to be the case.

I have to believe being able to say you've played in 7 of the last 8 CFB playoffs still means something to recruits. As time passes that tends to be the kind of stat media repeatedly brings up and not so much the scores of past playoffs so it is a good PR loop that continues to get repeated each year around playoff time.

It would be best to go to the playoffs and beat Georgia then Ohio State. We can do it. Sounds like you have already bet against us.

Look, there is no one who wants to win those games as much I do. And I have some orange tinted glasses on most of the time. That being said, I can accept the fact that a UGA team clicking on all cylinders would be exceedingly tough to beat. Less so, OSU. I'm still not convinced about them
