I'm the guy that joined in, and the guy that sits a few rows below me is a true Tiger. He gets so tense in close games, it was nice to help him enjoy it. If you didn't like it, fine, we had a good and sober time just celebrating a great time to be a Tiger. Some of you young bucks don't remember the hard times - no reason to be critical.
What Hood didn't catch was something I do every year. I buy a stack of pizzas and a couple of carriers of cokes and have a Tiger Roar contest with the kids in our section (LDS UC) to replicate the roar the tiger used to do when the one on top of the east end zone scoreboard used to light his eyes and wag his tail. My best $80 purchase every year.
Normally, I ask one of the vets in our section to judge, but this time as I was leaving the concession stand with more than I could hold, a Clemson Life student offered to help the goodies up to the kids. He and I agreed on the way up that all of those kids would be winners, and they (and he) were awesome.
My name is George, and I went to all but two games (home and away) as an underclassman (one was in Tokyo). I've missed one home game in the last 13 years (for my brother's mother-in-law's funeral). I created the "Eleven Year War" moniker describing Clemson-Georgia from 1978-1989.
I will celebrate and yell every freaking minute of every Clemson sporting event God will allow me to attend. Our tailgate this past weekend (and I hate nooners), had three courses: Gentleman Jack BBQ shrimp and white cheddar cheese grits, jalapeno and ghost peppers wrapped with duck breasts wrapped with bacon and homemade sweet boar sausage.
Make fun of me if you will, but TMmail me and you can come to a tailgate that is 1700 sq. ft. under tents with misting system when hot and multiple heaters when cool.
GO TIGERS!

I really enjoyed seeing yall having a good time. There is no age limit to having fun. I Might just have to stop by your tailgate someday. I think it's great what you are doing with the kids in your section. GO TIGERS!!
