You’ve definitely slept with a Latina, and you know your way around a kitchen and aren’t afraid of seasoning. Based on those and the fact that you put your leftovers in a Tupperware and are actually eating them, I’m going to guess you came from humble beginnings and maybe even were known as the cool gringo at some point in life; you’re doing pretty good by now in I’d guess late 40’s early 50’s, but not well enough to not have to eat leftovers.

Squirting cheez whiz into Bugles and eating them one at a time.
Might pair it with a Coor’s light, chilled until the mountains just start turning blue.

I’d take a bugle filled with cheez whiz over a lot of other whorederves. Namely, caprese skewers, prosciutto wrapped asparagus, and bruschetta

This is what I imagine the people who live under bridges eat when they come out of their fentanyl hole long enough to realize that they need some sustenance. I’m seeing fingerless gloves and asking people for change at the gas station.

Either a throuple/open marriage kind of situation, which seems to only happen among sad Mormon asslooking middle aged white people who grew up in divorced homes with dudes who wear Merrell hiking shoes on a daily basis, or there is infidelity involved. Some affairs are classy, but one in which you are fed chili after servicing another man’s wife is not that. This whole situation is making me think about vinyl insert showers with a moldy shower curtain liner, popcorn ceilings, and for some reason makes me think about Chili’s margaritas.

But for the record, if you're gonna lay pipe, and you don't get chili afterwards, you're not doing it right.

If you were ethnic it would make me think about some sweaty nasty hairy dude with a mustache cooking over some cart on a street corner, but since I know you’re white, this meal says there are at least two Rachel Ray cookbooks in that house.

You own multiple water bottles with the shaker ball inside for mixing up protein drinks that you take to the gym when you go twice a month. Your entire house smells unbelievably farty.

In between.
Pork tenderloin Mashed sweet potatoes Spinach salad with goat cheese and some beats among other things on the salad. No Cannes.
Maybe some popcorn or ice cream later. Its quality ice cream and not a drumstick, but still leans towards a trailer.

You’ve either hidden a weapon that was involved in a crime, or have hit someone’s car with yours leaving the bar and drove home and didn’t tell anyone, I can’t decide which, but I am pretty certain you’ve worn a goatee for at least a portion of your adult life

A man of class and clearly a fine education. Born and raised in the south to successful working dad and stay at home mom who are still together, makes somewhere north of 300 a year, but too many generic white guy hobbies to save any of it.

But we did eat mostly deer meat, my mom wasn’t a great cook, and we never ate out unless it was a special occasion like buying or selling a rental property. And get this… when we did eat out, it was only at Ryan’s Buffet.

Half plain? I’m assuming that part is for your other half, who also probably orders chicken fingers when you take her out to restaurants. I’m feeling like you probably have a $1000 gozney pizza oven, or maybe a pizza attachment for your ceramic grill. This is nice, very nice mid week meal.

Lively little burg that tastes of crunchy red fruits, wet leaves, and savory spices. Just a baby, but expressive and concentrated, well integrated oak tannins, and perfectly balanced structural elements. Absolutely beautiful.
Then maybe a pork tenderloin butterflied and pounded flat, stuffed with mushrooms, leeks, bacon, shallot, and spinach, then rolled and trussed up. Going to sear it then finish in the oven, and gonna make a mustard cider pan sauce.

It was pretty good. Teh sauce was good, but pretty thick so like a light dab in it was all you needed. Rice got burnt so they brought me a baked tater instead. I almost switched to a szuchuan duck since I love duck so much, but it came with mashed taters that had garlic in them and garlic gives me the BG's, goose shids, and other liquid stink smells coming from the bwhole so I past on it.

Your mom wore out that Betty Crocker cookbook when you were a kid, now cream of ____ soup based meals are your comfort food. At least you don’t have to eat jello salads anymore.

Which I’m currently starting. Second, you’ve given a strange description of Carmenere, so I’m guessing you’re not a fan. Third and last, there is something positive to say about any wine as long as it’s a good example and vintage. I’m sure you’re pretty knowledgeable on French wines which you’re frequently drinking. If that makes you a wine bad-ass, good for you. To me you seem to be a wine prick. But that just one opine 😘

Tacos obviously. These aren't good tacos. They're going on a soft tortilla with just the basics, sour cream, store bought guac, seasoned meat, cheese, and salsa. More like burritos than tacos probably.

In Mom's final year, she discovered that she liked Showmar's burgers, so I would stop and get her one fairly frequently. I never paid any attention to Showmar's all the years it's been around, and I'll admit the burger is decent but as it turns out it's the fried fish plate that is the hidden gem. Not Palmetto Seafood great, but far better than I ever would have imagined. I don't see myself going there much since Mom is gone now, but I won't ever knock them either.

But I remember all the ads with the nice old Greek guy talking about how well they’d treat you at showmars, and then I’d go and just get a mediocre meal served lukewarm every time and I finally wrote it off. We were really early moving to Ballantyne, like before 485 was done, and for a while their location at providence and McKee was one of the few non-fast food options in the area.

Used to go here for lunch all the time. I know they had closed the restaurant and went catering only for many years, but it looks like the restaurant is back open now.
On the top 3 list of things I'd immediately go get if I found myself back in Charlotte. The Turkey Provolone pita is the one you want. I can't describe how good it is.
