I don’t keep up with individual player stats/playing time as much as other here. I had read a lot of really good things about him during practice, and I remember hearing his name earlier this season in some plays. Not so much now. Anyone have insight? Less playing time? Just curious on others’ thoughts.

He played Saturday and was once again in on several good plays. Parker is rightfully getting all the attention but Woods has played consistent IMO. He’s gonna be a good one.

Take your pick. Hoffler, Page, Capehart, Green, Burley, I know I’m missing a couple.

Caden Story is who I'm waiting for him to ball. He was too good of a recruit. Different positions but I like him to be a kj Henry Story, pun intended, next season.

Peter Woods has been killing it you just have to understand the position he plays and what your looking at. He keeps pulling double teams like crazy and gets insane push to help the DEs crash.

You nailed it here. DTs don't always get the stats, but when they're disruptive (i.e getting a push on the inside) they are making a difference.
Case in point, it was difficult for WF to run the "mesh" with Ruke, Davis, and Woods pushing the center and guards back 2 to 3 yards.

Exactly. Look at a player like Dexter Lawrence, one of the best DTs in the NFL. If you looked at his stat line you wouldn't think he was so good either. That is not how interior linemen are judged.

This is pretty accurate. You very rarely see Aaron Donalds who draw ridiculous stats despite the double teams. You can pretty much count them on one hand historically.

He has been getting the Bryan Bresee treatment.
Opposing OC's know he has to be doubled on every play. His impact goes so much further than stats. They know he is great, and they have to scheme against him, even as a freshman. He may have the biggest impact on the D-line and allows his teammates to fill the stat sheet as a result of his play.
