REAL RELIGION

I believe I am more religious than the next guy. The caveat here is defining religion.
There are not just countless religions proclaiming only they are on the true path, but all of these have split off into subgroups who differ from the original religion. Subgroups have split to more subgroups.
Where does the "true path" lie?
These days the Catholic Church has been the major player in the news. Much of Catholic doctrine comes from Jew writings and teachings. Most all Protestant versions of religion come from Catholic doctrine.
To that end, the POPE has been the most powerful religious person for hundreds of years.
Basic Catholic doctrine is: -- The Seven Deadly Sins: Pride, Envy, Wrath, Sloth, Lust, Gluttony, and Avarice. -- The TEN Commandments I am the Lord thy God. Thou shall not have strange gods before Me. Thou shall not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain. Remember to keep holy the Lord's day. Honor thy father and mother. Thou shall not kill. Thou shall not commit adultery. Thou shall not steal. Thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor. Thou shall not covet thy neighbor's wife. Thou shall not covet thy neighbor's goods.
Most all Christian sub groups also teach those. Most sub groups have differing opinions as to "this and that" in other Catholic teachings.
Teachings of the Catholic Church are now offered up by media as "most Catholics hold views that differ from the official Church doctrine". In my opinion that would make them a subgroup and not Catholics.
Do real Catholics still exist?

How did you determine the "Most all Protestant versions of religion come from Catholic doctrine"?

lol
Catholics refused to translate the Hebrew and Greek for control. As the original scripts began to be translated exit from the Catholic Church grew extremely.
Protestants look like Catholics because IT'S THE SAME BIBLE, not because they learned from a priest but because they learned from the Bible.
BTW, I hope if God ever moves me from Southern Baptist He chooses the Catholic Church. I have great respect for them but as far as praying to the saints, it won't happen. I pray to God in Jesus name, or rather, ask for God's will just as my Savior instructed.
I have more respect for Nuns, as a group, than any other humans on the planet generally speaking.

“ As the original scripts began to be translated”
What originals?
The earliest complete copy of the New Testament dates to the 4th century.

Yes there are fragments of manuscripts that go back to the second century. My statement was the earliest complete copy of the New Testament dates to the 4th century.

Just like the modern false church system, the people at the tower of Babel put an unholy emphasis on infrastructure as a way to reach heaven. And they too wanted to make a name (denominate) for themselves. And just like Babel, the false church has had their languages (doctrines) confounded & this has scattered them from each other.
The mystery babylon false religious system/state church sits on many waters (peoples). The way to destruction is broad & MANY find it. This all points to a majority of religious people heading to hell, not just 1 denomination. Church was never meant to be the 1 man show, Roman amphitheater model it is today & it was never meant to be in bed with government for $$ (501c3).
If you want to see the modern pastor in Scripture, look no further than Diotrephes. The Protestant/Evangelical pastor is just as big of an antichrist as the popes are. They didn't reform Rome, they multiplied it. Now instead of 1 pope, there's a wannabe pope in every church building. They are the gainsayers of Core; attempting to usurp the authority of the 1 true mediator of Israel. But, the majority of American "christians" love it this way because they love fast food religion that allows them to outsource their new covenant responsibilty to know the Lord for themselves.
And the fact that most of their pew warming spectators "need" the Nicolaitane class to explain the Book to them is exhibit "A" as to the overwhelmingly lost condition of most of them. Because the Holy Ghost teaches us, so if they have no understanding of the words of God beyond a surface level, morality lesson or devotional that even an atheist can grasp, that's a huge red flag.

I've found that if I don't study the Bible daily I grow spiritually numb and it doesn't take long. God ask us for the first not the leftovers. Some say they don't have time to read the Bible and study God's Word. I've felt that way before but in the days when I'm most productive I've gotten up hours before work and given God the first fruits of the day.
I don't do this to please God. If I said I did it would be akin to eating supper to please Him. I eat because I'm hungry and not to please God. I read the Bible because it enhances my fellowship and communion with Him. He seems to like it so we've both pleased because it makes every day special for me.
I'm spoiled rotten by being one of the people who have a special day everyday. God never fails to show up on time. It's like He's always there waiting on me.

I agree about church, but your modern view of the “Bible” is no different.
