Does anyone know whats best option for parking at the sugar bowl, i have been trying to see if parking in a parking deck is best or at the dome since i wont be tailgating, only two of us so tailgating with two isn't fun , i bought parking pass in charlotte and was in a lot of rude and drunk miami fans, don't want that experience again..

Superdome parking is $25 and they don’t pre-sell parking passes (first come). There are also other lots around from Parkwiz etc.

i was thinking maybe parking at dome would be best, at least for my vehicle. it was bad in charlotte, i just knew they would mess up my truck, it was not a good lot to be in..

If you enjoy gambling and don't mind walking, you could park at Harrah's for free if you go play a penny slot and get voucher. It's what I've done a couple of times on New Years in Nola. Expect to either pay a lot or walk a lot.

In speaking with a friend of mine who is part of the law enforcement (management) working the bowl, I’m told parking will be a mess. He recommended walking or taking Uber/cab/streetcar to get close and then walking.
The bowl site says - “Public Parking: Superdome Garages will open for public parking for $25.00 per car, starting at 2:30 p.m. No advance reservations. Law enforcement personnel may conduct occasional inspections of vehicles parking near the stadium as they arrive.”
I found some spots nearby on parkwhiz (http://ssqt.co/m5bOdGC) prices vary widely.

I used Parking Panda (which has just been acquired by "SpotHero") to reserve a spot in a parking garage at 316 Chartres Street - W for 24 hours starting Sunday morning at 6:00 am, and another spot in a street lot at 401 O'Keefe Avenue for 24 hours on Monday starting at 6:00 am. Cost was $44 for the garage spot, which is about a five minute walk from Jackson Square, where the Fanfest and New Year's Eve entertainment is going to be, and $22 for the street lot space, which is about a 10 minute walk from the Superdome. Now I just have to keep my fingers crossed that they are going to honor the reservations.
