Clemson in tie for first as play halted at Palmetto Invitational

Clemson, SC—Clemson was in a tie for first place out of 15 teams when play was halted in the first round of the Palmetto Cleveland Golf Invitational at the Palmetto Golf Club in Aiken, SC.
The 15 teams were scheduled to play 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday, but weather conditions were difficult on Monday and teams played between 10 and 12 holes. The teams will return to the course on Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. to complete the first round, then the second round will be played. The tournament has now been reduced to 36 holes.
Clemson was tied for first with Campbell at seven-over-par when play was halted. Clemson’s Lucas Augustsson had the individual lead by three shots at three-under-par when play was stopped.

Clemsontigers.com has one in the sports schedule at the top of the page but when I clicked on it and went to the team page it said This Tournament is not using Scoreboard Live.This site that came up by the way is not GolfStat as it is called Scoreboard powered by clippd and is in partnership with TaylorMade.

Yeah he did. Thanks Horry. I figured it was just a washout yesterday and that's why scoreboard didn't report.
Women ended 4th. For once we played the 4s and 3s pretty good. Why we can't score on the 5's is a mystery. When you look at the other teams, they took full advantage. Pulling for them to have a great round today. Would love to see our young frosh Juliette score.

That is a surprisingly weak tournament. Hopefully they win that and carry that confidence into some tournaments with better competition. I wonder, do they play in this tournament every year or did Byrd set this up get his team some more tournament experience?
Hopefully we recruit some studs in the near future. Seen where the multiple SCGA winner is at SC. That’s impressive stuff by that young man. Elite competition in the SC Am ranks. GO TIGERS! And win this one by 10+ strokes.

We've played it multiple times and won it many. At one point back in the 80s and 90s it was a prestigious event. Kinda evolved into a South Carolina smaller schools invite.
It should be one that we can win this year. Latest rankings we're 71 mens and 46 womens.

We sure should win it. I am not sure of the conditions, but now we are 3 stokes ahead but 7 over par. That golf course is not that hard. I love the golf course, but it is not long for college players, so I would expect to see some lower scores.

Lucas had it going at -5 b4 that darn triple bogey. Must be too short for Rich. He's been playing some good golf lately, but he can't get anything going.
Scoring is confusing. I have us at 9 over first round and now 2 under on the 2nd round...hence +7 total but it's showing us as 11 over.
Nice win for the Tigers. Took Kian's eagle. That was sweet this team needed it.
Ladies holding their own. Keep it going. Although 3 teams playing a few holes back from them.
