Could the fervor that Brent Venables had

For his team and football in general be what we have missed most about him since he left?

The passion and tenacity has completely disappeared from our team since he has been gone. There is no hunger just 85 comfortable scholarship players and some very comfortable coaches.

Our defense made a ton of mistakes last night...

We have a ton of talent that has regressed.

Dabo misses the leadership of both Scott and BV. When they were here Dabo could fit into his natural role as CEO and let them run the day to day operations. When they left he had to become the COO and lead a young staff. That is not his best fit and I think it has showed ever since.

The Wes experiment should be over by now...

I love a coach Venables and I miss him coaching here

We promoted someone who had never called plays to take over for one of the greatest defensive coordinators.

The defense has taken on the soft spoken passive nature of Goodwin. No killer instinct. Not even interested in tackling anymore. Disgusting.

I think Venables is the biggest loss to Clemson football in history - yes, including even losing Danny Ford. Here’s why:

I believe Brent was the one who was knowledgeable, seasoned, and intense enough to challenge Dabo and give him conflicting perspectives. Yes, he was amazing running our defense, but I think he provided a voice in a lot of other discussions as well that we are deeply missing.

Dabo doesn't want that, he is the dictator/king. He knows all, sees all - do not doubt him again, you commoner!!

You’re right… let me get my golden Dabo statue back out and light the prayer candles. Forgive me Oh Great Swinney!
