Our biggest issue right now is not having a playmaker

2

Someone that can break one for big yards and make teams pay for mistakes. I’d say maybe the kid from Greenville is the closest thing we have to that. It’s frustrating not having that person for the past 3 years. It’s the difference in winning and losing games like this. We are a good team but just good. Here’s to hoping we get a playmaker in the next class.

I think he needs to get 2 guys that are proven threats from the portal. Combine that, with the freshman receivers coming in, with Williams and Brown already there, and you have the beginnings of a real group again.

I think we are missing the big WR like Coleman

Sep 23, 2023, 8:38 PM

that can consistently win the 50/50 ball.

A couple runs today would have gone to the house

Sep 23, 2023, 8:38 PM

if Etienne were still here. You right about explosive playmakers!

Or Tavien Feaster, Lin-J Dixon, Wayne Gallman, Andre Ellington, to name a few.

Wayne Gallman was solid but he wasn’t a game breaker.

Lol, we haven’t had one in 3 years. Some of us have been saying this. If only there was a way to go find one.

There maybe two or three of those in the transfer portal. The portal is not overflowing with talent like you think it is.

I believe that Brown will soon serve this roll. He is a star in the making. I hope he gets more playing time.

I listen to the radio analysis while I am in the Valley and Reggie is a pretty sharp dude. Dabo might be wise to talk with him.

I m totally stunned to see our great kicking game of many, many years become so poor . That likely costs us the win today. Something that simple-

Havent seen one since that 2019 team***

Ummmmm even with that the glaring biggest deal is turnovers. Don’t turn it over catastrophically (every #### game) and we are 4-0. With no playmakers.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yeah the turnovers are killers but a playmaker can get

Sep 23, 2023, 8:53 PM

You back in it sometimes with one play. We’ve seen it in the past here but we’ve just had a lull recently. Which means you gotta play perfect late. Cade did pretty well today, good enough to win. But that scoop and score was killer bc we were driving with a TD lead. Just killer. Got them back in the game.

Ship is a trooper, Mafah & Beaux are good players

Sep 23, 2023, 8:44 PM

None of the three is a speed merchant. Against bad teams (Charleston Southern, FAU), they shine. Against top teams, Ship always works his butt off, but all three are plodders. No breakaway explosive plays against top competition. Not a criticism. Just an observation. Where's Tyreek Hill when we need him?

We need to grab the MSU receiver that is blistering the COOT
