Enter Sandman in Lane Stadium. Saw Scooters' post, here's another.

already decided to post. Hokies' traditions are a 180 from ours, but they have some, and having been in Lane a few times for this, it's cool in it's own way, despite being kinda cheezy and way different from our world-class intro. The band specified having a Student Section, nice. It's a land grant school in the Blue Ridge Mtns, so a lot in common, even though they're twice as big. I can get to their stadium on scenic backroads from my house, no interstate or traffic jams.
77 trailers to bring all that in, they were in Nashville the night before, so not a lot of pre-game. Now they're re-doing turf (they laid a temp floor down).
Hey, it's their thing, and somehow I've gotten local enough to think it's awesome it's finally happened. This would Never Happen at Mr Jefferson's University.

the UVA crowd comes into the venue late. All the time. Both sports. The real fans show up and tailgate. The fans I've interacted with are OK, but stuffier than Hokies.

I don't recall a Hokie fan at FB or BB wearing a tie. Common at UVA.***

It was fun deciding to not go see them in Nashville the other night because they suck.

Kinda sad in a way, seeing a bunch of balding, grey-haired rockers from 2+ decades ago absolutely shredding a stadium concert. And the only thing that can even come close today is Taytay. Just smh.
Back in the day GNR cracked the concrete at Williams Brice. Pink Floyd and the Eagles played Death Valley.
Not sure what I miss more, rock music, or rockers singing the music, or stadium concerts.
Good to see and watch nonetheless. Not a huge Metallica fan but that one song has its place, and it's in that stadium.
