Will a Two-Loss UGA Team Make the CFP?
Oct 26, 2020, 4:07 PM

Both losses would be to Alabama.
Same question for UF.
Just want to start the discussion on who the 4th seed will be after us, Alabama and Ohio State. There is no reason to think any of these three will lose a game.
I don't believe Oklahoma State will run the table in the Big 12 and K-State will lose again IMO.

No. It is more likely that 2 ACC teams go than a 2 lose SEC team.

third time? I think that two times would be enough.......unless they had the misfortune to face Clemson in the first round. Then a third loss would never have a chance. If a conference opponent has already lost twice to their conference champion, they should NOT get another chance to make it a third. I don't care who else you put in the third spot.

Didn't even think of that. I would almost like it to happen since it hasn't before.

If it was left up to ESECPN, the top 4 sec teams would be in the playoffs regardless of the number of losses... Under the bowl championship series, sec teams were always put out front of all others, and they wasn't always the best teams in the country that was left on the outside looking in only bc of the sec hype machine!!!!

Let’s not pull the lil ole Clemson card again. We’ll be there, what else matters? A two loss SEC team definitely gets in.
What other ACC team could possibly make it to the playoffs? Come on guys.
Let’s hope LSU wins out (would have to be shootouts every time) so that we can shred their defense. I think the SEC defenses are down and LSU looks to have the 2nd best offense in the SEC.
We would score on every drive in 3 plays and they would not be able to score as easily on our D.

My thinking is that with the abbreviated and some what unbalanced schedules of the Power 5 conferences, no 2 loss team would get in ,and that includes Alabama ,Georgia, Ohio State, and Clemson. Definitely the loser of the Florida/Georgia game is out. Again, just my opinion, but they all get in with one loss ,especially if the loss is in the regular season. I agree that I don't see Alabama ,or OSU losing but you never know. In regards to Clemson I see one scenario where we don't get in. That would be a loss to Notre Dame in the Title Game. We could lose a close game at South Bend, and then beat them in the Title game, but if we lose the Title game, no way do we go. Notre Dame would have to beat us, and win the Title game to get in. Just my thoughts.

spot is going to be something to watch! Oregon? Okie State? See if they can stay unscathed. If they pick up a loss, the second SEC talk will pick up. Of course that assumes CU, Bama, and Crybabies hold serve.

Oregon won't be #4

Oregon would be my strong pick for #4 but too many key players for them have opted out. I don't think any team in the country has been hit as hard with opt outs except for maybe LSU. When you add in the question marks at the QB position, it's not looking good.
UO still has a lot of talented players but they will probably suffer a loss in the Pac 12.

The real question is, can a three loss Georgia get into the CFP. Georgia hasn't played UofSCK yet.

I don't think so! I know I am dreaming big here but -what the heck.
Ohio Buckaroos- and the elephants - then lets say Norte Dame beats Clemson in South Bend and then you have Clemson - Norte Dame in the ACCCG- If Clemson wins that the logical thing would be both of them in as 1 loss teams
HAs this is not a logical year and we are talking about the SEC- then yes- leg humpers do get in!
I hate to say it- but even if Clemson wins in Notre Dame and then beats them again in the ACCCG- it should still be two from ACC

How can that even be questiones? They deserve three shots

at Bama because they're Georgia. Anybody outside the SEC loses to Bama 41-24 and doesn't score poing in the second half and they get laughed at by the SEC. They say they had no business playing Bama. Georgia does it and they are still in the top 5

What if they lose to the coots again & save Muscoot’s job!
????????
He’s a heck of a coach, if they let him go teams will line up to make him their special teams coach or get-back coach or recruiting scout or nutrition specialist!
