I was a freshman living on Johnstone D-4. That was the game that started our run to the 1981 National Championship. What a year.

It was my first Clemson-Carolina game in person and I sat in the student section. I will never forget the orange pants and Willie Underwood’s 2 interceptions..Thanks for reviving the memories!

Five of us with our dates, who ended up being our wives, went down to Miami on a twenty year old Winnebago. It broken down twice, but we eventually made it just before the Orange Bowl Parade started. We stayed at Biscayne Bay and took tour boat to the game. I've still got the ticket stubs and the program. Tickets were $15 which is a far cry from the $500+ I paid for Monday's game. As a side note, on the trip back to Columbia from Miami, I gave up smoking!
Go Tigers

I was at the Orange Bowl. I drove down from Marietta GA to Jacksonville & picked up my older brother who was Clemson '62. We then drove to the game & returned to Jax the same night/morning. My brother was waiting for a back operation at the VA. He was on crutches & pills so I did all the driving. He had a time getting up the ramp at the old Orange Bowl but never complained. He was a freshman in 58-59 when we played LSU in the Sugar Bowl. He would come down to Clinton from Clemson & take me to games when I was in HS. Glad I got to return the favor. The game seems as if it was yesterday.
An IPTAY rep from Rock Hill worked here in my building & knew that I was Clemson fan #1. He got the tickets for me (great American). He also convinced me that it was not too far to drive to the games so I bought season tickets every year after 81.

That was one heck of a game. The Orange Bowl was 'Orange' and that game put Clemson on the map nationally...

It was my Senior Year. We were the 4 inebriated shirtless guys in the corner of the end zone about 30+ rows up.
I have fondly remembered that trip many times per year for the past 38 years.
