EJ Manuel thought Clemson was in Greenville

Last summer, as I was listening to the ACC Network's coverage of ACC Media Days, E.J. Manuel mentioned that while he was QB at FSU, he thought that Clemson was in Greenville. I was so shocked by this statement I had to rewind it and make sure I heard him correctly. Sure enough, he thought Clemson was in Greenville because they would stay in a hotel in Greenville. Another example of morons at FSU.

I’m impressed he knew we are in SC…there was a time when most people didn’t know that.

My first job out of school was in Florida (mid 1980's). In an engr. office, there were people who thought we were located in GA. The rivalry with UGA was huge at that time, with Danny and Vince Dooley's teams really going at it every year.

Clemson has some pretty good presence in Greenville downtown and at ICAR on 85 with signage. I could see how someone driving through might think that.

That's a heck of a bus ride from Greenville. Just how big did he think it was?

You can drive the distance from Greenville to Clemson to/from and still be in Atlanta suburbs.

Fun fact: Atlanta is only an hour's drive away from Atlanta.

Hill - you still say you’re in Boston. If guys are used to big cities they aren’t going to think anything of a 45 minute bus ride when you got your beats on chillin

I had a similar argument with one of the PM's where I work.
He was working on a job along the coast and he mentioned he saw Clemson on his way home. I asked if he was lost and he said he saw the campus off I-85. I asked if he had been drinking.
Then remembered the ICAR campus off I-85 with the Clemson sign and had to explain it to him.
