So the Biden wants to send 1500

May 2, 2023, 12:00 PM

US troops to the southern border to “brace” for a sudden migration due to the White House lifting title 42.
Then why even lift title 42?

I’ll wait!

Technically the justification for Title 42 was Covid 19

Like masks and vaccine requirements, almost all Covid restrictions have already or are being lifted.
In fact, Republicans want to return any unspent Covid relief funds as part of raising the debt ceiling. This makes sense to me.

Back to Title 42, Congress needs to pass legislation that provides better border security and immigration regulations rather than relying on administrative orders. Both executive and administrative actions are too prevalent, even excessive. Congressional inertia creates voids that enable Executive branch overreach.

Illegal immigrants are illegal, Covid 19 or not. We also already have legislation in place to turn illegal immigrants away at the border. It’s just that we do nothing about it.

The troops are only there

To help with paperwork since there will be an influx of illegals.
