I know this post may be triggering since most of the posters here on T-Net are emotional roller coasters.
But what were your expectations on our record going into the Pitt game?
@ Pittsburgh
Louisville
@ Boston College
@ GT
FSU
@VT
We went 4-2 with 2 wins at home against top 6 teams and 2 losses on the road to ACC teams. GT is about as good as us and VT had been struggling Being a young team, we have been inconsistent on the road all year which is normal in college basketball.
Judging by the posts on here, it seems that a lot of you expected to go 6-0 through this stretch. I didn't know that it was completely unacceptable to drop 2 games on the road. I don't feel like looking back, but I would think that it is extremely rare for Clemson basketball to win 4 ACC games on the road in a row. I would actually bet we haven't done it more than once in Clemson's entire history.
Why did you all expect to do it this year? Just because we over-achieved against 2 top ranked teams doesn't mean that we shouldn't lose on the road against a mediocre team.

but you don't deal with them by starting a post the way you just did. As soon as you said that the people that disagree with you immediately took anything you said ignored it and turned it into hate for you, similar to how they do Judge Karen!
See, it works like this...when you post in a way that seems as though you are putting yourself and your opinion greater than anyone else and in the "my opinion can't be wrong" stance it will get this kind of reaction.

Oh no.... This guy wishes he could give me another TD! What will I do? This is just all too typical. People are incredibly disrespectful to posters that support Brownell and don't want him fired after this year. But when I throw it back, all of a sudden you all have a moral compass again, and it really hurts your feelings.
"good tiger fans" - What an absolute joke. I'm not saying that anyone that wants Brownell fired is a bad tiger fan, but the posts on here cross the #### line and it's clearly evident. You just don't see it because you agree with it.

He has attacked many people on this board that don't agree with his opinion about Brownell or the team. If you haven't seen it you haven't paid attention. He has even taken some people's dislike of the way we played a certain game as a slam on the coach which it is not.

Judge takes anything posted about the Basketball Program especially under Coach Brownell's watch whether it be a post about, a bad game, bad plays by players, bad coaching jobs on occasion and turns that into bashing the program and or the coach, which is untrue.
Fans are fanatics and want the best for OUR team whatever that is, new coach, different players through recruiting of course, different scheme, more energy, etc.
Not a soul on this site that is a Clemson fan, take me for example...I'm an Alumni...want to bash players or coaches but we do ask for better than we have been given over the last 10 yrs. Especially after the previous coach left(I don't like how he left either so don't get me wrong there)after reaching the tourney 3 straight years with the same facilities and support that everyone says needs to be upgraded to get results. Is it changing under Brad after year 10?...maybe..no one knows for sure but Lord I hope so.
We as regular fans and/or alumni have a right to not be happy with what we've seen and ask for better.

The whole "Purnell gave Brownell a team that has been to the NCAA's 3 times in a row" BS is tiresome. People act like Brownell was given a Ferrari just because he took over a team that lost in the first round of the NCAA's 3 times.
Was Willie Taggart handed a great football program in FSU?
You have to look at the details, dude. Not just what is on paper. Brownell was handed 1 good team, and he actually won a tourney game with it. I'm sorry, but the timing and current roster was pretty bad to be honest.
In Brownell's second year, he did not have any stand out upperclassmen. He had no sophomore's because Purnell left at the worst time, and his first recruiting class wasn't great (Nobody says Brownell is an elite recruiter.
In Brownell's 3rd year, he had Devin Booker and Milton Jennings as seniors, no juniors, his first recruiting class where only KJ McDaniels and Rod Hall panned out, and a freshman class where his best player broke his leg (blossomgame).
How in the hell do you think that he was left a good program? It was good for 1 year and then quickly went to the dumpster.

I have never once said I want Brownell fired, if so link please! I have actually said I like Brownell as a person and hope he could get the job done. I want the best for my Alma Mater's sports teams whatever it takes.
I know when I see a good product and I know when I don't. We have seen both this year. Some of it coaching, some of it players, all of it Clemson.

I have a question for you. Let's say 2 years from now, we have 2 very successful seasons and the future looks bright.

Explain how that post went over my head. I just asked if he would admit JK was right if we had 2 successful seasons.
And then I pointed out that he said JK had blind allegiance, and then went on to point out some of the reasons JK had allegiance to Brownell.
I take "blind allegiance" to mean blind allegiance. Not "he has blind allegiance, but here are some of the reasons he listed as to why he stands behind Brownell"

We may have a 20 win season here or there when we win 3 or 4 in the NIT, but as far as regular season games, we may improve by a game or 2 which will still not get us into the NCAA tournament. I am not EVER expecting a top 10 team, I would just like to make the NCAA tournament on occasion. I really don't think that's asking too much. If Brad can do it, fine. If he can't, then try someone else. I feel like the Clemson fans have been more than patient.

Yes, I believe that we will be much better next year provided that we don't get killed with injuries again, and we don't have any unexpected transfers.

To be honest, I do expect our BBall team to better next season, but will it, I wouldn't bet a nickel on it at this point!!! I can't count how many TDs I got for backing Brad over his first 9 years, but not anymore bc his job performance has finally broken the faith and belief that I had in him of being what our BBall program needed. My posting history will prove that I'm not a fire the coach over a few bad seasons but, I have had enough of Brad after 10 heartbreaking years. The fare seasons that he has had just hasn't been enough to slow the bleeding of the heart, and I say bring in some new blood, bc I bled out watching that VT game!!!

I call it like I see it. Sorry if that offends you and makes you incapable of answering a simple question. It's just when we go 4-2 in the last 6 games and people act like that's the final straw with Brownell, it is idiotic. People literally thought we should go 6-0 in those games. They think just because we beat a ranked team, we shouldn't ever lose to any teams ranked below us. And it's honestly comical. I was actually looking for answers and not a single person provided one. Sooooo.....

I read the whole thread and others like it. It’s like the conservatives vs the libs or something similar. I don’t think anyone is right or wrong here. Just opinions about a similar interest. Some are better than others at word smithing. Some just don’t care. Either way, most everyone wants what is best for the program, just like we would all agree TB being dismissed was the best thing that ever happened to football. We’ll see soon enough for basketball what decision leads us where. I do wish we could get there without eating our own, but some may enjoy that sort of thing. At the end of the day, we are all tigers minus the coot trolls and that weird Ora who’s obsessed with Spud.

Yes I know that you F'ing idiot. That wasn't what the post was about. The post was about why people are having mental breakdowns after we went 4-2 which included beating 2 top 6 teams and only losing 2 games on the road.
