They are quick to talk about how tough the SEC is, but when I ask them if Florida or Georgia have a chance against Alabama in the SEC Championship game the response is, "They suck. The will get smashed."

Which is it??!

I have gamecock friends.

I don't discuss football with them.

It's for the same reason that I don't discuss writing argumentative spreadsheet formulas designed to link balance sheets and income statements with 3rd grade math students.

I realize that 3rd graders have a better chance of understanding accounting concepts than the average gamecock fan has of understanding football. I just don't do it.

They act all big, bad and tough just because they are in the mighty SEC. They will forever be a bottom dweller in the league. The SEC is very top heavy as is the ACC. All conferences need bottom dwellers and the Coots fit the bill. Why else would you give rings for fininshing 5th, They know their place!
