but....the DB in hot pursuit did not close the distance....so, I surmise that looks are deceiving.

DJ ran a 4.97 second 40 at the opening last year

He's not a speedster, probably a little slower than Tajh was. Recruiting services listed him as a pro-style/pocket passer. People say he "plays fast", though.

For a guy his size, I thought he moved pretty well. TL well? No. Then again, Travis, Amari, Cornell and company will take care of the speed game. Speaking of which, does Lynn J Dixon look slower than in previous years? Decent on kick returns, but slow after taking hand offs. Or are my eyes deceiving me?

He seems more tentative than slow. Not sure why though; he’s been here for a while. Doesn’t seem to be playing very fast though, but comparing him to ETN is not fair either.

Speaking of kickoff returns, our coaches do know about the rule change to allow fair catches on kickoffs now to move the ball out to the 25. Just sayin'.

There is no hole. He needs to realize it will not be there and for the most part just plow into the line for a couple of yards unless something really opens up outside.

I actually followed you on that assessment and agree with the eye test.
