I really believe we will host a regional this year. Seth Beer is the best freshman ever!!
Go Tigers! Very nice win over the Dawgs!

That would have been a sure loss on the road the last 3 years no doubt for sure. Down by 2 late to a SEC team would have been too much for a Jack coached team. This team has got work to do but one thing we do know is they play hard for 9. The toughness and hitting alone are enough to make the Tigers a good team. Lookout when the errors get cleaned up and I believe they will. As long as we keep scoring around 8 runs a game we will be hard to beat even with below Avg pitching.

Not defending jack bc I was all for the lee hire, but just saying a guy like that who can change the game with one swing helps.

I like the way Monte manages pitchers. Seemed like Jack in his later years always left them in for at least one too many batters. Monte has a quick hook if things aren't going well. I think this has kept us in several games this year that would have gotten out of hand in the past, and allowed the bats to bring us back.

Yep, we out hit them 11 to 5 ! The errors kept the dogs in the game. All said, a big mid week road win for the Tigers.

But, a Dawg error gave us the winning run, so

we might want to also look back with an equally critical eye at how many men we left on base in the early innings when we could have put the game way out of reach with our bats.
All that aside though, this group of guys is finding ways to win in spite of errors, shaky pitching, and failures with men on base.
The fun's in the winning, and they're bringing the fun back to Tiger baseball!

It helps a baseball team a lot having 9th inning wins bc they know they have the ability to score and win games down to their last out. And when teams gets on top late in a game, there isn't a team let down bc they know that one swing of the bat they can make up 1-4 runs. It's teams like that that win championships. No, I don't believe we are ready to win a championship, but the building blocks are being put in place that can help us get there. We still need to clean up our errors, and have much better consistency with our all around pitching. But give credit when credit is due, Montee has his team at the edge of becoming a good solid Clemson baseball team, and he gets it....
