Once again the Tigers lose every game that matters

Nov 16, 2014, 6:16 PM

The Coot game is for nothing but pride now, so it really doesn't matter as far as the national stage. Yesterday's game was big but the loss means just another decent season.

Yep UGA last yr, Orange bowl, LSU

Nov 16, 2014, 6:17 PM

those games mean NOTHING

No not really

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

They really don't.

Well, they don't if you have a political agenda which precludes you from remembering them.

That LSU game was 2 years ago. Time to move on.***

If we lost to GT last year it would have meant the same...no OB. We won that game but it was meaningless? Do you just enjoy a bad attitude? Is that why you use your screen name?

You people that think the future is all roses are crazy. This team has not been well coached at all with Dabo. The talent and being in a very weak ACC allows most of our wins. But vs teams with a pulse Dabo and Co just can't get it done.

Re: Once again the Tigers lose every game that matters

Nov 16, 2014, 6:28 PM

Really, so UGAy last year, LSU and OSU didn't have a pulse? No wonder Braxton Miller didn't play this season, he's been dead for years. How the hail did Mettinburger make it to the pros if he didn't have a pulse? Oral Roberts lay on hands or what?

The fact is we have a Mickey Mouse coaching staff, and after the Coots beat the Tigers 6 in a row. Then get back to me.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

nothing forces you to be a Clemson fan

Nov 16, 2014, 6:46 PM

there are obviously better options for you out there that would make you a happier person.
Other teams, other sports.

Do everyone a favor and go explore those options.

Nov 16, 2014, 6:29 PM

yes, because every game matters.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

The Bottom Line is this-

Nov 16, 2014, 6:31 PM

Dabo is 1-5 vs Coots.

Chad is 0-4.

That's it. Period, end of story.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

you're right in a sense ... those bowl games certainly

Nov 16, 2014, 6:40 PM

matter...

but when it comes to taking care of business in the regular season, in order to get the the next level, we haven't been very good.

Re: you're right in a sense ... those bowl games certainly

Nov 16, 2014, 6:43 PM

Ok Dabo has won 2 big games LSU and OSU. The UGA game at home with the talent should have been won.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

you know I agree with you...

Nov 16, 2014, 6:47 PM

since 2009 we are 4-14 against teams that win 10 games (22 %)

If you just look at regular season and ACCCGs, we are 2-12

that's awful

Nov 16, 2014, 6:51 PM

Yes but York , what are some similar stats using that criteria for other teams in cfb.
Beating a team from a power 5 conference that is a 10+ win team is difficult for everyone I believe ...its why they won 10+ games right ?

That's simply not true... we 're not talking about

Nov 16, 2014, 6:53 PM

how many wins does PITT have in that scenario.

Clemson has been a 10+ win team for 3 years straight. Compare our winning % with other 10+ win teams.

Those are the games where talent is essentially equal.

York, I am talking about the 10+ win teams records versus the other teams whom they play that reach that win total or exceed it.
I bet you will be hard pressed to find even 2 teams that have a better than .500 record against "elite" competition within the time parameters that you threw out there on Clemson.

Who do you wanna compare to? SCU, FSU, AU, BAMA ?

I don't want to compare Cuse, BC , and GT

Nov 16, 2014, 6:56 PM [ in reply to Re: you know I agree with you... ]

The NFL talent we have had over those years, there is no excuse to be 4-14. Our coaches have a game plan and if things get difficult they just ride it out. You can tell in the first quarter the games that we lose.

Re: you're right in a sense ... those bowl games certainly

Nov 16, 2014, 6:45 PM [ in reply to you're right in a sense ... those bowl games certainly ]

Only a couple of teams every year make it to the only game that matters.
So every game that matters is every game , until a loss that makes them not matter anymore.
I feel like they all matter , but I am a serious college football enthusiast.

what? There's no question that Dabo wins the ones we should

Nov 16, 2014, 6:51 PM

and he deserves credit for that.

but we've been a 10 win team the last 3 years, and we were 1-5 in those 3 years against our biggest rivals, who also won 10+.

This isn't Bowden. We win 85% b/c we out talent people, as we should.
